The Shimba Hills National Reserve is a small National Reserve 33 km from Mombasa and 15 km from the coast.

If you want to see more wildlife located a 15-minute drive from Haller Park. Here you can enjoy close encounters with giraffes, ostriches, eland, oryx, and many species of birds. It’s also one of the most popular picnic sites in Mombasa.

Tsavo East / Tsavo West 2 – or 3 – Days Safari
With the 300 kilometers long Yatta Plateau, the longest lava flow in the world, make for an adventure unlike any other in the Tsavo East and Tsavo West. The park forms the largest protected area in Kenya and is home to most of the larger mammals, vast herds of dust –red elephant, Rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, pods of hippo, crocodile, waterbucks, lesser Kudu, gerenuk and the prolific bird life features 500 recorded species.

The region was made famous due to the Man-eaters of Tsavo, two Lions that killed around 130 people during the construction of the railway line in 1898.
